Welcome to The Long Thread
I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. This space is where I gather the stories that matter most: the ones we pass down, wrestle with, learn from, and lean on.
“The stories we pass down, wrestle with, learn from, and lean on: these are the ones that shape us.”
Some come from lived experience, like navigating my son’s addiction and the long road of recovery. Others are shaped by imagination, like the cozy mystery I’m writing, set in a small café where trust is both tested and rebuilt. Some stories still bring tears. Others make me smile. And many are filled with memories that warm my heart.
I write for anyone who’s ever carried a burden across generations, and for anyone who longs to heal forward. I don’t have all the answers, or even all the questions. But I do have an insatiable curiousity about what connects us, inspires us, and helps us grow.
“I don’t have all the answers. I just know stories are where the healing begins.”
My hope is that these stories offer you courage to share your own and to live the life you dream of, in your own way.
If you’re drawn to memoir with meaning, fiction with heart, and reflections rooted in resilience, you’re in the right place.
“This is a space for reflection, connection, and the quiet courage to keep up your own transformation.”
This is a warm, reflective space, a place for honest words, quiet insight, and kind connection. I write about parenting, great-grandparenting (yes, that’s a thing!), recovery, and the beauty of becoming over a lifetime.
I’ll be posting weekly, little threads from a long and storied life.
Pull up a chair. I’ll put the kettle on. Let’s begin.
